Secondary Pneumatics

Restoration of a water-damaged Wurlitzer manual chest. Chest was completed in-situ. All leather and felt materials were renewed, including gasketing.

Piston Rails

Wurlitzer style expanded piston rails for a three manual console. Not shown are matching key slips and dividers. Keyboards were also recovered, rebushed, and repinned, resulting in like-new action.

Primary Pneumatics

Previous restoration practices caused premature failure of covering materials. The use of incorrect glue necessitated construction of replacement pneumatics.

Hi-Hat Action

Wurlitzer Tap Cymbal action was modified into a Hi-Hat with added mechinism and new cymbals

“Junk” Tray

Swing-out drawer for a three manual Wurlitzer console. Will be finished to match existing console.

Combination Action

A retrofit of a new Ztronics Combination Action. Card rack was designed to fit in console around existing equipment. With careful planning, card rack was assembled, wired and installed while maintaining the playability of the instrument.

Rack Boards

A chest was modified to receive pipework for which it was not originally designed, necessitating construction of custom rack boards sized for replacement pipework. Materials and construction were chosen to closely replicate the originals, down to the stamping of the note/rank designations.
